Chasteen's has been a local favorite for decades, and is located in historic downtown Lake City. I have yet to have a bad experience here and they always serve great southern and deli foods. I highly recommend their Ham and Gouda on Ciabatta, when they have it.

Located in the heart of historic down town Lake City in the bottom floor of the famous Blanche Hotel. A local family opened this weekday lunch-only restaurant after they closed their successful full time seafood restaurant in hopes not having to be there 60+ hrs a week. The family that owns it will be the ones taking your orders, bringing your food, and cleaning your tables. Their long time help are the same everyday, so they're very consistent. It's not a "fancy" restaurant, but definitely a favorite of all the suits that work downtown. Very clean and full of friendly southern hospitality. I know them to be famous for their fresh chicken strips and broccoli casserole. Some gals I worked with turned me onto their buffalo bites which are perfection. (Disclaimer: they are also habit forming) Don't be afraid to get them in a wrap. Simply put, they are packed every day for lunch because they're good every day.

My wife and I went there for lunch. We ordered the hamburger for myself with provolone and bacon (about $7 total) and the fandangled salad ( minus the feta because of allergies) for her (about $8). We had two drinks as well, totaling $21. My burger was about the size of a McD's burger on a tiny bun. I ordered medium well, it was well done. My wife's salad consisted of lots of lettuce with about five chunks of pineapple and two grapes. We were very very disappointed. We thought it would be nice to enjoy lunch out as a special occassion. The restaurant is beautiful inside, but the food was definitely not worth the cost.

Been eating here for around 10 years now. Buffalo bites are amazing!!! It's a don't miss. All of the food is great and freshly prepared everyday. The owners Emmy and Robert are wonderful people. You don't have to tip but if you do it goes to a charity. Can't beat this place!

Awesome southern cooking with contemporary touch. Fresh homemade entrees and salads with sides like local "zipper peas" and sweet potatoes. Nice ambience and every surface clean as a whistle! Homemade cupcakes the best I've had, made by the local owner of this great spot!
